Abstract

Learning evaluation is a crucial component of the educational process because it serves to determine the level of success of the learning process. In Islamic Religious Education (PAI), evaluation not only assesses students' cognitive aspects but also their affective and psychomotor aspects related to character development and spirituality. This study aims to analyze the role of developing literature studies in improving the quality of PAI learning evaluation. The study used a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach through data collection from various books, journals, scientific articles, and other academic sources relevant to the research theme. The results indicate that developing literature studies makes a significant contribution in helping teachers understand comprehensive evaluation concepts, develop appropriate evaluation instruments, and create technology-based evaluation innovations and authentic assessments. Furthermore, literature studies also play a role in enhancing the professionalism of PAI teachers in designing evaluation systems that are objective, effective, and aligned with modern educational developments. Therefore, developing literature studies is an important strategy in improving the quality of PAI learning evaluation.
