IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA BERBASIS PROJEK PENGUATAN PROFIL PELAJAR PANCASILA DI SMP MA’ARIF NU 01 CILONGOK

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum requires schools to provide learning that is flexible, contextual, and able to strengthen students’ character. One of the main programs in this curriculum is the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, which is designed to develop students’ competencies and character through project-based activities outside regular intracurricular learning. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Independent Curriculum based on the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at SMP Ma’arif NU 01 Cilongok, particularly in grade VII. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the vice principal of curriculum, the grade VII teacher, and students. The results show that the implementation of the project was conducted through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the school formed a facilitator team, identified school readiness, selected the entrepreneurship theme, determined the topic of character-based entrepreneurship, chose the dimensions of independence, creativity, and mutual cooperation, arranged time allocation, and prepared the project module. In the implementation stage, teachers conducted student socialization, divided students into groups, prepared tools and materials, and guided project activities, including making fresh tea-based drinks and salted eggs. In the evaluation stage, teachers monitored the project process and assessed the final products based on the selected dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The study also found several obstacles, such as limited time allocation, different levels of student understanding, and teachers’ schedules that sometimes overlapped with other school activities. These obstacles were addressed through teacher guidance, coordination among facilitators, and adjustment of project implementation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the project at SMP Ma’arif NU 01 Cilongok has been carried out quite well and supports students in becoming more independent, creative, and cooperative.
